
The 2026 ENDURrun Prelim
The 2026 ENDURrun Prelim is a unique six-day, six-stage running event held in Waterloo, Ontario, and its surrounding communities. Designed as a preparatory challenge for the more demanding ENDURrun events later in the year, the Prelim offers runners a comprehensive test of endurance, speed, and versatility. Participants tackle a variety of race formats, including road, cross-country, trail, and track, over a total distance of 60 kilometers.

Course Details
The ENDURrun Prelim features six stages, each with distinct terrain and elevation profiles:
- Stage 1 (10 KM Road Race): Two loops on a paved, relatively flat course at RIM Park, Waterloo.
- Stage 2 (7.5 KM Time Trial): Out-and-back on mixed crushed gravel and paved surfaces at Riverbluffs Park, Cambridge.
- Stage 3 (8 KM Cross Country): Three loops on grass and trail with moderate elevation at Bechtel Park, Waterloo.
- Stage 4 (10.4 KM Trail Run): Four loops on technical hiking trails with significant elevation at Baden Hills, Wilmot.
- Stage 5 (3 KM Track Race): 7.5 laps on a standard rubberized track at St. David Catholic Secondary School, Waterloo.
- Stage 6 (21.1 KM Half Marathon): Three loops on a paved course with rolling terrain at RIM Park, Waterloo.
Courses range from flat and fast to hilly and technical, providing a comprehensive test of running ability.
