The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is a celebrated national event series dedicated to supporting women's mental health initiatives across Canada. Since its launch in 2013, the series has united communities in 18 cities, raising over $23 million for local mental health programs. The event is more than just a race—it's a movement to improve access to mental health care and support for women, fostering a sense of community and empowerment among participants.
The Waterloo edition of the Run for Women takes place at Conestoga College's Doon Campus, offering participants a choice of three distances: the 1K Little Steps, 5K, and 10K. The event is inclusive, welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities, and features a festive atmosphere with a warm-up session, music, and community engagement. All funds raised directly benefit the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Waterloo Wellington, ensuring that support stays local and impactful.
