The YMCA Charity 5K is an annual event organized by the YMCA of Greater Toronto to raise funds for sending children to YMCA Camps. The inaugural run took place on September 28, 2024, at Downsview Park, raising over $180,000 and enabling 500 children to attend camp. The 2025 event aims to raise $245,000 to send over 600 children to camp.

• 5K out-and-back loop on paved paths of Downsview Park
• Start and finish at Festival Terrace/Circuit Path
• Water stations at Start/Finish and on-course
• Race surface is road (paved paths)
• No scooters, inline skates, bicycles, skateboards, or non-service dogs allowed
• Timing chip on back of bib, bib must be worn front

• Family-friendly event with corrals for all paces
• Stroller-friendly (Corral #4) with special accommodations for children under 6
• Pre- and post-run activities at Festival Terrace/Circuit Path
• Shuttle bus service available from two YMCA locations for a $10 round trip
