
Waterloo 10 KM Classic 2025
The Waterloo 10 KM Classic, established in 1978, is the oldest and largest 10k race in Waterloo Region. This popular summer event unites families and the running community with live bands, great food, prizes, finisher medals, and a supportive atmosphere. Since 2016, University of Waterloo Athletics has hosted the race and raised funds for causes including the Athletics Development Fund.
The event offers multiple race distances over two days, encouraging runners of all ages and abilities to participate in a scenic course around the Columbia Icefield at the University of Waterloo.

Course Details
* 10 KM: Sunday 8:30 a.m., water stations at 2.5k, 5k, and 7.5k * 3 KM: Sunday 8:30 a.m., water station at 1.75k * 5 KM: Saturday 6:00 p.m., water station at 3k * 200m Kids Run: Sunday 10:15 a.m., small loop from finish line * Course marked and marshaled; participants responsible for knowing the course * 10 mins per km time limit; participants behind cutoff asked to continue as pedestrians
