Steelway Railway City Road Races 2025

The Steelway Railway City Road Races is an annual running event in St. Thomas, Ontario. It features a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and a 1K kids' fun run, all supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin with proceeds funding life-changing mentoring programs.

The courses are fun, flat, and fast, designed to appeal to runners of all levels, set in scenic areas including Pinafore Park and along paved recreation trails.

- Half-Marathon route starts and finishes at CASO Station, passing Parkside High School, Lake Margaret, and Pinafore Park
- 10K run mirrors the half marathon course but shorter distance
- 5K Run/Walk is an out-and-back course along paved hiking trail and Pinafore Park
- 1K Choo Choo Kids Fun Run is an out-and-back route near the Elgin Railway Museum
- Primarily paved roads and trails
- Moderate temperature with average highs around 19°C and relative humidity around 75%
