The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is Canada's largest women's running series, dedicated to supporting women's mental health programs across the country. Since its inception in 2013, the series has raised over $23 million for local mental health charities, enhancing access to care and support for Canadian women.
The Edmonton edition of the Run for Women is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park. This event brings together women of all ages and abilities to participate in a supportive and empowering environment. Funds raised from the event directly benefit the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, supporting vital mental health initiatives and research for women experiencing anxiety and depression.
Participants can expect a vibrant race day atmosphere, complete with a generous swag bag, technical T-shirt, and opportunities to connect with the community. The event encourages both runners and walkers, making it accessible for everyone, and also offers virtual participation options for those unable to attend in person.
