
Seize the Day Windsor - 2025
Seize the Day Windsor is an annual fundraising event organized by Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario (ESWO) to support individuals living with epilepsy and their families throughout Southwestern Ontario. Established in 2016, the event has grown into a vibrant community gathering that raises essential funds for ESWO's programs, including education, support groups, and advocacy initiatives.
The event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, encouraging them to walk or run in honor of loved ones affected by epilepsy. Seize the Day Windsor is not only a race but also a celebration of community solidarity, awareness, and hope for those impacted by epilepsy. Course Details
The event is held at the Vollmer Culture & Recreation Complex, which features scenic, flat trails suitable for both the 2K walk and 6K run. The course includes a mix of gravel and unpaved surfaces, but remains accessible and accommodating for participants of varying abilities. The terrain is flat, making it beginner-friendly and suitable for families, children, and those with mobility considerations. The park setting provides a picturesque backdrop, with amenities such as a pavilion, splash pad, and playground enhancing the overall experience.
