The Prairie Nightmare Backyard Ultra is an annual "last person standing" race held at Echo Valley Provincial Park, Saskatchewan. Participants run a 6.706 km loop every hour on the hour until only one runner remains. The event started in 2020 and has grown steadily, moving to its current scenic park location in 2021.
The course is flat and runnable, featuring hardpack trail, grass, and gravel sections. Camping is available on-site, and the race is cupless, so runners must bring refillable bottles or cups.
