The Niagara Ultra is a beloved annual tradition that captures the beauty and spirit of Niagara-on-the-Lake every June. Now in its 31st year, the event welcomes runners of all experience levels for a scenic and rewarding day along the historic Niagara River Parkway. Hosted by the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers, the event continues to foster a supportive, family-friendly community atmosphere for both participants and spectators.
With a flat, riverside route that passes landmarks like Fort George and reaches out toward the majesty of Niagara Falls, the vibe is equal parts historic charm and runner camaraderie. Whether you're challenging yourself with an Ultra Marathon, looking to hit a stride in a Marathon, or taking your pace to a new level in a Half Marathon or 10K, the Niagara Ultra offers something special for everyone.

The course follows a smooth, traffic-free asphalt path along the scenic Niagara River Parkway, offering flat to gently rolling terrain ideal for personal bests or simply enjoying the view. Starting from 430 King Street, all distances follow out-and-back routes with riverside views throughout. Highlights include glimpses of historic Fort George and the breathtaking turnaround near Niagara Falls. Bib pickup is available the day prior in St. Catharines or early race morning at the Kinsmen Scout Hall. Walker participation is welcome, and the event has a low-key, supportive vibe that suits newcomers and veterans alike.
