Monarch Ultra 10km 2025

The Monarch Ultra is an annual event that combines conservation, education, and physical activity to raise awareness for monarch butterfly conservation. The 2025 event marks the third annual Monarch Festival & Race, featuring a 10km race and a 1km Kids Fun Run.

The event includes a vibrant festival with live music, local crafts, face painting, and informative booths to educate attendees about the importance of preserving monarch butterflies.

- 10km out-and-back course starting and ending at Millennium Park in downtown Peterborough
- Route follows the Rotary Trail beside the Otonabee River with mostly flat and fast terrain
- Mixed surfaces primarily on trails along Rotary Trail and TransCanada Trail
- Water station at the 5km turnaround point; participants must bring their own vessels (cup-free event)
