The Mad Trapper Backyard Ultra is an endurance trail race held at The Ark, approximately 40 minutes north of Ottawa, in Denholm, Quebec. Participants run a looped trail course every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains. The race offers several formats including the classic individual "Last Person Standing" on a full loop of roughly 5.5 to 6.0 km, the slightly shorter Kristi Loop (~5.2 km), and a unique 2-person team format.

Known for its technical and hilly terrain with alternating loop directions each hour, this race tests mental grit and physical endurance. The event includes a post-race celebration, with a buffet provided and space for crews and camping nearby.
