The Klondike Ultra 2026 is a premier trail and ultramarathon event set in the breathtaking Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Wildland Provincial Park, Alberta. Since its inception in 2021, the event has rapidly grown in popularity, drawing trail runners from across Canada and beyond. The race is renowned for its challenging courses that traverse ancient sand dunes, mossy boreal forests, and historical landmarks, offering participants a unique blend of natural beauty and adventure.

The Klondike Ultra courses wind through the Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Wildland Provincial Park, featuring a mix of sandy climbs, moss-covered forest floors, and single-track trails. The 100 km course boasts approximately 2,880 meters of elevation gain, challenging runners with rolling sand dunes and technical forested sections. Participants will traverse historic routes, cross creeks, and run alongside the Athabasca River. The terrain is varied, with sections of soft sand, hard-packed trail, and occasional muddy patches, providing a true test of endurance and trail running skill.
