Courons Gatineau is a community-focused running event organized by Gatineau Loppet, a non-profit renowned for hosting Canada's largest cross-country ski event. Launched in 2024, it aims to become the largest running event in Gatineau and rank among Quebec's top 10 by its 5th edition in 2028.
The race showcases scenic routes along the Ottawa and Gatineau rivers during the early fall season. Participants of all levels enjoy flat to gently undulating road courses, with the start/finish at rue Jacques-Cartier in front of Quai-des-Cageux. Handmade wooden finisher medals made from local river logs highlight the local heritage and community spirit.
