Beast of Burden - Summer 2025

The Beast of Burden - Summer is a premier endurance running event held along the historic Erie Canal towpath in Lockport, NY. It offers 100-mile, 50-mile, and 25-mile distances, challenging both novice and veteran ultra runners with a flat, fast course.

Starting at Wide Water’s Marina, which features showers and restrooms, the race includes aid stations stocked with a variety of food and beverages. Runners will experience scenic views crossing historic lift bridges that occasionally open for canal boat traffic, adding a unique challenge to this fast-paced event.
