Art In Motion 10K/5K/2K returns to Vaughan on October 18, 2026. Organized by the Art In Motion team as a fundraiser for SickKids Foundation and the Dr. Bonnie Cameron Post-Secondary Scholarship, the event celebrates its tenth year of bringing runners, families and supporters together to raise awareness and funds for children with arthritis.
The weekend offers in-person 10K, 5K and 2K distances plus a Virtual Art In Motion option for out-of-town or at-home participants. Race kits include tech shirts for 10K and 5K entrants, hats for 2K participants, and finishers medals; chip timing is used for the 10K and 5K. Organizers provide transportation support with round-trip bus service from Sherbourne and Keele subway stations and free parking at Boyd Conservation Park with shuttle connections to the 10K start at McMichael.
What sets Art In Motion apart is its blend of community festival and purposeful fundraising. Participants encounter a family-friendly finish-line feast, downloadable race photos, and fundraising incentives that refund entry for those who raise $150 and unlock a VIP experience for fundraisers who reach $1,000 — perks that have included a champagne toast, VIP swag and McMichael Gallery admission. The route threads the McMichael Gallery area and Boyd Conservation Park, making it part-gallery visit, part-outdoor run and firmly community-focused in spirit.
Registration for the October 18, 2026 event is open now, with a special early promotion — the first 10 registrants pay $10 and the next 26 pay $26. Runners can register and set up fundraising pages at the event registration portal to take advantage of kit options and fundraising rewards.
