The Apex Adventure Challenge 2025 is an exciting new addition to the Canadian adventure racing scene, taking place in Sudbury, Ontario on July 27, 2025. This event is designed to introduce both newcomers and seasoned racers to the thrill of adventure racing, combining mountain biking, trekking, and paddling in a single, action-packed day. The race is structured to be accessible for beginners, while still offering enough challenge and variety to engage experienced athletes.

Participants will navigate a scenic and diverse course that showcases the natural beauty of the Sudbury region. Teams of two or three will use maps and compasses to locate checkpoints, working together to complete the course in the fastest time possible. The event emphasizes teamwork, navigation skills, and endurance, making it a memorable experience for all involved. With divisions for all-male, all-female, coed, masters, and family teams, the Apex Adventure Challenge is truly inclusive and community-oriented.

The course traverses a variety of terrains typical of the Sudbury region, including forest trails, dirt roads, and water bodies. Participants will mountain bike for 20-30 km, trek for 6-9 km, and paddle for 4-7 km. The route includes both marked and unmarked sections, requiring teams to use navigation skills to find checkpoints.
