The Solstice 5K is an annual event celebrating the longest day of the year by racing against the sunset. Participants run along the historic Rideau Canal, starting and finishing near Lansdowne Park. All participants receive a pair of New Balance Fuel Cell Pvlse V1 running shoes and a finisher medal.

The 5K course is an out-and-back route along Queen Elizabeth Drive towards Dow's Lake, with course marshals at the turnaround point. Runners should be aware that the pathway is shared with the public, including cyclists and rollerbladers.
