The Vancouver Island Trail Running Series is Vancouver Island's premier trail running event, showcasing some of Western Canada's most scenic trail networks. The Ladysmith race includes courses through Holland Creek and Heart Lake, finishing at Transfer Beach for a post-race BBQ with waterfront views.

Participants experience trail running in a stunning natural setting while respecting the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Stz’uminus First Nation, with important race day details such as cupless participation and ID requirements for bib pickup.

* Long Course (~20 km): start 10:30 AM, entry fees $74.25 to $120 * Short Course (~10 km): start 11:00 AM, entry fees $63.15 to $100 * Kids Race (~1 km): start 10:15 AM, entry fee $13.19, recommended for all ages; children under 4 should run with a guardian * Bib pick-up times vary by race (Long Course 9:00–10:00 AM, Short Course 9:45–10:30 AM, Kids Race 9:00–10:00 AM) * Aid stations: 2 (Long Course), 1 (Short Course) * Ample parking at Transfer Beach Park, carpooling encouraged * Post-race BBQ at Transfer Beach
