TRiO Race Series Race 1: Up the Creek 5k, 10k Run 2026

Up the Creek 5K & 10K is the opening race of the TRiO Race Series, staged on March 28, 2026 in Port Coquitlam and organized by TRiO Sport Events. The 2026 TRiO Race Series is a new championship-style set of events introduced for 2026, and Up the Creek serves as Race 1 in that inaugural season.

The event runs as a single-day road/trail distance offering with 5 km and 10 km options. Runners can enter either distance for this March race; the Up the Creek event feeds into a three-race series where finishing positions earn points toward overall 5K and 10K championship standings. Races in the series are chip-timed with live results and are scored by gun time.

What sets Up the Creek apart is its series format and community focus. Participants collect points toward one of four TRiO championship categories (5K female/male and 10K female/male), with race-leader bibs and front-of-pack starts awarded to category leaders at subsequent races. The series also features draw prizes and hardware for finishers, and TRiO runs promotions for early registrants (including entry opportunities for Arc'teryx shoe draws when registering for all three races). Family and team registration options are available to encourage groups and corporate entries, and every event includes a free kids Fun Run.
