The Treherne Marathon is an annual event held in Treherne, Manitoba, featuring a picturesque and challenging course through the Tiger Hills Region. It is the only marathon and half marathon in Manitoba with significant elevation changes, earning it the nickname "the toughest race in the prairies." The full marathon course is a registered Boston Qualifier.
The race starts in town and quickly transitions to country roads, taking runners through the rolling Tiger Hills. After the race, runners are welcomed back in town with refreshments provided by local residents.
