About Traversée de la Baie des Chaleurs Crossing 2025

The Traversée de la Baie des Chaleurs Crossing is a scenic open water swimming event connecting Miguasha Beach in Nouvelle, Quebec, to Charlo Beach in New Brunswick. Swimmers can choose from 9.5 km, 3 km, or 1 km distances while enjoying beautiful views of Miguasha Point, Mount St-Joseph, and the Bon Ami rocks.

Participants are advised to swim with a personal kayaker for safety, with wetsuits permitted when water temperatures are below 18°C. Typical water temperatures range from 17°C to 20°C in mid-August, offering a refreshing summer challenge.
