The Tour du Cap Tourmente Simard is a celebrated annual running and walking event held in Saint-Joachim, Quebec. Since its inception in 2013, the event has grown to attract participants of all ages and abilities, offering a unique blend of athletic challenge and festive community spirit. The event is renowned for its scenic courses that wind through historic sites and the picturesque landscapes surrounding Cap Tourmente, providing runners and walkers with a memorable experience.

Participants can choose from a variety of distances, including road races and a technical trail run, making the event accessible to everyone from competitive athletes to families and children. The Tour du Cap Tourmente Simard is more than just a race; it is a celebration of local culture, featuring culinary delights, live music, and entertainment. The event also supports youth sports initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to community well-being and active living.

The event features a mix of road and trail courses:

• The 21.1 km SIMARD follows the historic Chemin du Roy, offering a mostly flat and scenic route.
• The 18 km Trail du Cap is a point-to-point trail run starting near Simard Cuisine et Salle de Bains in Saint-Tite-des-Caps and finishing at the church in Saint-Joachim. This course includes forest trails, technical sections, an elevation gain of 267 meters, and a descent of 632 meters.
• The 10 km IGA encircles Cap Tourmente, while the 5 km FAMILIPRIX traverses the heart of Saint-Joachim.
• The 5 km Marche Gourmande combines walking with culinary stops, and the 1 km CENTRE DENTAIRE LAVOIE-ROY is designed for children.

All courses are well-marked, with kilometer indicators and regular aid stations.
