The Rolley Coaster 2026
The Rolley Coaster takes place on 30 May 2026 in Mission, British Columbia and is organised by Run Like A Girl. Held at Rolley Lake Provincial Park, this single-day trail event centres on a technical 8 km loop that challenges runners with steep pitches and rewarding lake views.
The event uses an 8-hour open-window format built around the 8 km loop: participants can walk, hike or run one or multiple laps and decide how much distance to cover within the eight hours. Options include the full 8 km loop, a 1 km Fun Run on non-technical trails for families and juniors, and a two-person relay that lets teams split the same 8-hour time window. A virtual entry is also available for those who prefer to participate remotely on the same day or on a day of their choosing.
What sets Rolley Coaster apart is the combination of raw trail character and community focus. Each 8 km lap gains 344 metres of ascent (and loses 347 metres), and the technical single-track weaves through forest, across bridges and past waterfalls with regular lake outlooks. Entries include a race bib and a finisher's gift, and there is an aid station at the start/finish. The race is capped at 150 local participants and includes a $5 CAD donation from every registration to the Mission Search and Rescue team, keeping the event small, supportive and tied to local causes.
Entries are handled through Run Like A Girl; fees vary by entry type and date, and a virtual option is available for remote participants.
