The Big Pirate Run is an annual themed running event held at Garry Point Park in Richmond, BC. Suitable for all ages and abilities, including strollers and leashed dogs, it features multiple distances from a 1-3km Little Pirate Run/Walk around the park, up to 21.1km (half marathon) routes along scenic West Dyke and Middle Arm Trails. Participants enjoy personalized pirate name bibs, costume items, and wooden finisher's medals, with chip timing, water stations, entertainment, and door prizes creating a fun, family-friendly pirate atmosphere.
The course is mainly flat with stable gravel and paved trails, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Pets and strollers start in the last wave to ensure safety, and the event is held in a festive pirate theme that welcomes all levels of runners and walkers.
