St. Patricks Day Trail Run 2026
The St. Patrick's Day Trail Run returns to Edmonton on March 15, 2026, as a seasonal celebration of spring and St. Patrick’s Day at Rundle Park. The event brings together local runners and walkers for a morning of trail laps through one of the city's established river valley parks. Justin Ng is listed as the event contact and the race partners include Running Room and Cranky's Bike Shop.
The race offers four entry options: two 10K events (10K Shamrock Walk and 10K Good Luck Run) and two 5K events (5K Pot of Gold Run and 5K Leprechaun Walk). Start times are staggered: the 10K Shamrock Walk starts at 9:30 a.m., the 10K Good Luck Run at 10:00 a.m., and the 5K Pot of Gold Run and Leprechaun Walk at 10:15 a.m. The course is a looped trail through Rundle Park — 5K is one loop and 10K is two loops of the same route.
What sets this event apart is the strong post-race community focus. Every participant receives a complimentary hot meal and dessert inside the Rundle Family Centre (the bib doubles as the meal ticket), plus warm and cold beverages and a bag/gear check inside the building. Food is catered by Purple Perogy with an Irish-inspired menu that includes Ukrainian twists. Entries also include a pair of Asics Quick Lyte socks and a finisher's medal, and the event supports The Mustard Seed through fundraising efforts.
Registration is open now and race-day registration will be available (cash only). Extra post-race meal tickets can be purchased during packet pickup or on race day for $10 cash.
