RunWild returns for its 15th edition on the May weekend in 2026, centering its main race day on Sunday, May 3 in St. Albert, Alberta. Presented by Leading Edge Physiotherapy, RunWild has grown into a regional spring tradition with roots in community health, youth education and fundraising for Child Advocacy Centres.
The race weekend offers options for a wide range of distances: a Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km run/walk all take place in St. Albert on Sunday, May 3, alongside the WildOnes Kids MaraFun. Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove host their own WildOnes MaraFuns on Saturday, May 2 for local families, or young runners from those communities can choose to join the St. Albert kids’ events on Sunday. Start times and wave information are published with registration materials.
RunWild combines a competitive road-race atmosphere with a family-focused Race Village that includes a kids’ fun zone, live entertainment and food and beverage vendors. The event doubles as a community outreach platform: RunWild volunteers deliver school presentations and the broader RunWild Canada program supplies curriculum-linked resources to schools while encouraging fundraising and awareness for local Child Advocacy Centres.
Registration is open now and follows tiered pricing windows through to late April. Entrants can register online with Visa or Mastercard; note that all registrations are final. Check registration deadlines and fee tiers when signing up to secure the preferred entry rate.
