Established in 1983, the Rubble Creek Classic is a point-to-point trail race traversing Garibaldi Provincial Park. The 25 km route starts at the Cheakamus Lake trailhead, ascends through switchbacks, passes through Taylor Creek's meadows, skirts the volcanic Black Tusk, and finishes at Garibaldi Lake. Known for stunning views and rich history, the race is limited to 100 participants and typically sells out quickly.
Participants must be self-sufficient as the race has no aid stations, and mandatory gear includes a backpack or running vest/belt, windproof jacket, 1L water carrying capacity, and 400 kcal of food. Shuttle service is provided for transportation due to no parking at the start line.
