Moose Mountain Trail Races (MMTR) is a historic trail running event held in Kananaskis Country park system, Alberta. Established in 1992, it is Alberta's oldest sanctioned trail race and among the longest-standing in Western Canada. The race offers 16KM, 29KM, 42KM, and 50KM solo mountain trail races through forested single and double-track trails with Moose Mountain as a stunning backdrop.

The race starts and finishes at the West Bragg Creek recreational area, providing an adventurous and challenging experience for runners. Participants must be 18 years or older and the event emphasizes safety with mandatory gear and cut-offs for longer distances.

• 16KM: 460 m elevation gain/loss; Aid station at 8KM; Finish cut-off at 3:30 PM
• 29KM: 1,220 m elevation gain/loss; Aid stations at 9KM & 20KM; Cut-off at 20KM by 1:00 PM
• 42KM: 1,620 m elevation gain/loss; Aid stations at 9KM, 20KM, 27KM & 33KM; Cut-offs at 20KM by 1:00 PM and 27KM by 2:00 PM
• 50KM: 2,351 m elevation gain/loss; Aid stations at 9KM, 22KM, 36KM & 41KM; Cut-offs at 22KM by 1:00 PM and 36KM by 2:00 PM

• Mandatory check-in times:
• 29KM, 42KM & 50KM: 7:30 AM – 8:20 AM
• 16KM: 10:00 AM – 10:50 AM

• Age restriction: 18 years and older
• Course open to the public on race day; runners must be courteous to other users
• Required gear for 29KM, 42KM & 50KM: wind/waterproof jacket
