Melissa's Road Race 2025

Melissa's Road Race is a historic and popular running event in Canada, established in 1979. The event features 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon distances running through the scenic routes of Banff National Park. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere, on-course entertainment, post-run festivities, and commemorative long-sleeve shirts featuring local art.

The race routes offer breathtaking views of Banff National Park with a mix of paved roads and trails. Participation is capped at 4,500 runners across all distances, with a 1,500 runner limit for the Half Marathon, promoting a festive and community-focused environment.

- Half Marathon: 21.1 km, starts at 10:30 AM, minimum age 14, entry fee CA$151.80
- 10K: 10 km, starts at 10:35 AM, minimum age 12, entry fee CA$119.49
- 5K: 5 km, starts at 10:35 AM, entry fee CA$97.95
- Virtual Run (Canada & International): 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon, Sept 1 - Oct 13, entry fees CA$108.72 (Canada) and CA$130.26 (International)
- Course features mixed surfaces (paved roads and trails) with narrow sections near finish; participants asked to keep right to allow faster runners to pass

- Event capped at 4,500 participants; Half Marathon capped at 1,500 runners
- Commemorative technical long-sleeve shirts featuring local artwork
- Post-race beverage, snacks, and access to the post-race festival
- No strollers, baby joggers, pets, bicycles, scooters, wheelchairs, or other wheeled devices allowed on course
