Grassroots Backyard Ultra 2025

The GrassRoots Backyard Ultra is set for its third edition on June 28, 2025, in Okotoks, Alberta. Participants run a 6.71 km loop primarily on flat, fast asphalt pathways along the Sheep River, with some single-track dirt trail and a modest 34 meters elevation gain. The course suits runners targeting personal distance records.

The event features a unique "Last Person Standing" race, where runners repeat loops until one remains, plus timed events for 15- and 24-hour durations aimed at milestone distances like 100 km and 100 miles.
