The Brokenagan Backyard Ultra takes place at Silver Star Provincial Park in Vernon, BC. Runners complete a 4.17-mile loop every hour through an enchanting mix of wildflowers, forests, marshlands, and a mountain lake via the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center's cross-country ski trails. This event welcomes all abilities—from those aiming for just a few loops to those seeking to outlast all competitors.

In 2025, the event features two challenges: the traditional Brokenagan Backyard Ultra and a 24-Hour Endurance Run where participants cover as many 4.17-mile loops as possible within 24 hours. Both start at 7:00 AM on July 26. Participants must be 19 or older or have special permission from the race director.
