Be Fearless Trail Marathon, 21k & 11k returns to Squamish on September 19, 2026. Organized by Run Like A Girl, this is the 10th annual edition and it centers on Alice Lake Provincial Park — a compact, trail-rich playground at the north end of town. The event offers both an in-person festival-style day at the campground and a virtual option for runners who want to join from afar.
The weekend presents four distance choices: a full marathon (42 km, 8:00 a.m. start), a half marathon (21 km, 9:00 a.m.), an 11 km (9:30 a.m.) and a short 1.66 km Hoory Fun Run (8:30 a.m.). All local starts and finishes sit on the main beach at Alice Lake; the race supplies shuttle service from an off-site lot at Don Ross Middle School to keep the park car-free. Virtual entrants receive a mailed race package with a bib and finisher’s gift and can log their time via the event’s timing app.
What sets Be Fearless apart is its community focus and local partnerships. The race donates $5 from every registration to the Canadian Mental Health Association’s STEPS program and works with local trail stewards for training runs and trail days. Runners get a custom Birch & Blaze finisher’s medal, finish-line food and post-race massages, plus a cupless-aid-station setup that encourages reuse. The courses weave technical and non-technical singletrack, forest sections and lakeshore trails, with robust aid coverage on the longer distances and visible race support throughout.
Registration opens December 1, 2025 and runs through September 13, 2026 or until entries hit the 350-person cap. Early-bird pricing is available until January 31, 2026; runners should register early to secure a spot and their preferred distance.
