The 2026 5 Peaks Trail Running Series: Alice Lake takes place April 4 in Squamish, British Columbia and is presented by 5 Peaks. Part of the national 5 Peaks series, this Alice Lake stop brings the series' familiar mix of community-focused trail racing to a classic Sea-to-Sky provincial park setting.
The event offers multiple distances to suit different goals: a 3 km Kids timed run, Sport (9.1 km), Enduro (12.5 km) and the longer Grit course (17.8 km). Packet pickup runs Friday afternoon at Capra and again race morning; hikers start at 8:00 a.m., the Kids event begins at 8:15 a.m., the Grit field goes off at 8:45 a.m., and competitive, self-seeded starts follow (Enduro 9:00 a.m., Sport 9:15 a.m.). Continuous shuttles transport participants from the designated parking lots to the start beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Alice Lake stands out for its singletrack-packed routes that mix technical sections, punchy climbs and flowy descents through Alice Lake Provincial Park. The race is cup-free—athletes must carry their own reusable bottle or pack—and Blonyx Hydra+ serves as the on-course electrolyte beverage. Optional sustainably sourced wooden finisher medals and event swag are available for pre-purchase; awards are handed out to top finishers across age and distance categories. The event also includes a non-competitive hiker division led by pace leaders, a volunteer program that trades four hours of service for a future race entry or merch, and a modest drop-bag tent for post-race items.
Entries and shuttle tickets are sold through Race Roster; every person taking the event shuttle must purchase a $5 ticket in advance (children 12 and under ride free).
