Course Details
Runners start and finish at Shipyards Park in Whitehorse, following a well-marked course that covers the Millennium Trail, Miles Canyon, Canyon City, Chadburn Lake, Chadden Lake, Schwatka Lake, and Hidden Lakes. The route is mostly single-track trail with significant elevation changes—about 862 meters of gain—offering a mix of riverfront paths and forested sections. Expect stunning vistas of the Yukon River and the surrounding wilderness throughout the race.
The course is clearly marked with orange pin flags, flagging tape, and sandwich boards at key intersections. Volunteers are stationed at important points to guide and support runners, and aid stations with water and Gatorade are available along the way. Participants should be prepared for the possibility of wildlife encounters, including bears, and are encouraged to carry bear spray. Bib pickup is available before race day at Sport Yukon, with limited options for out-of-town runners on race morning. An early start is offered for those expecting to take more than 5.5 hours.
