- Start with Detroit skyline on the left, heading east along Riverside Drive
- First turn-around under Hiram Walker distillery with music and spectators
- Pass start line again with cheering crowds
- Continue west with waterfront and skyline views
- Run under Ambassador Bridge into Sandwich town
- Second turn-around at music-filled archway with cheering spectators
- Final stretch downhill towards Festival Plaza finish line
- First turn-around under Hiram Walker distillery with music and spectators
- Pass start line again with cheering crowds
- Continue west with waterfront and skyline views
- Run under Ambassador Bridge into Sandwich town
- Second turn-around at music-filled archway with cheering spectators
- Final stretch downhill towards Festival Plaza finish line
