Whistler Half Marathon 2026
The Whistler Half Marathon is an annual trail-focused running event held in Whistler, British Columbia; the 2026 edition takes place on June 6, 2026. The race runs on unceded and shared territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and Lil’wat Nation and opens race weekend with a Nations welcome ceremony at Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Race weekend stretches across multiple days with activities from Thursday through Sunday: an Adventure Film Night, a Friday race package pick-up and runners expo, guided preview runs and live music on the plaza. Race day on Saturday uses a wave start format from Whistler Olympic Plaza, with walkers and early waves beginning before the main field. Distances offered in 2026 include a 32km distance, a Half Marathon, a 10km and a 5km, plus family-oriented events such as a kids run and post-race recovery activities on Sunday.
What sets Whistler apart is the combination of Lost Lake Park singletrack and the valley trail network with a festival atmosphere in town. Entry includes a limited-edition 25L custom canvas compression bag and a locally designed finisher medal, plus race amenities like chip timing, fully stocked aid stations supplied by Naak Performance Nutrition and post-race massage. The event also integrates community and conservation elements: each entry plants one tree through an Indigenous lands reforestation program and $5 from every entry supports Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
Registration for 2026 is open. Early-entry pricing is available for a limited number of spots per distance (32km, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km) and overall entry limits are published for each distance — plan to register early to secure a spot.
