Snowden Trail Race 2026
The Snowden Trail Race returns to Campbell River on May 30, 2026, presented by Foveō Running. This grassroots community race has run in previous years and brings runners into the Snowden Demonstration Forest for a day of trail running and local camaraderie. Event contact for questions is Derek Kaufman (snowden@foveo.run).
This is a single-day, in-person event with two distance options: 11K and 26K, both starting at 11:00 a.m. PDT. Courses route through extensive single-track with gentle rollers and soft forest surfaces; elevation gain is approximately 150 m for the 11K and 265 m for the 26K. Race day includes on-site tailgate activities and a relaxed post-race atmosphere.
What sets Snowden apart is the combination of speedy, runnable single-track and a strong community purpose. The race raises funds for Campbell River Search & Rescue, and Campbell River SAR will be on site on race day. Runners can expect well-marked trails, a live DJ, post-run food and drinks, and prize draws that keep the finish-area lively.
Registration is open with tiered pricing and early-bird rates available through May 11; register via the event registration page. Participants must complete a waiver when registering and comply with race-day safety policies; note there is limited to no cell coverage at Race Central and throughout the trail network, so plan accordingly.
