
Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women - Winnipeg 2026
The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is a celebrated national event series dedicated to supporting women's mental health initiatives across Canada. Since its inception in 2013, the series has grown to include events in 18 cities, raising over $23 million for local mental health programs. The Winnipeg edition specifically supports the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Manitoba and Winnipeg, with a focus on programs for Indigenous women, girls, and families.
Participants in the Winnipeg event can choose from three distances: a 1K Little Steps, a 5K run/walk, and a 10K run/walk. The event is designed to be inclusive and community-focused, welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities. In addition to promoting physical activity, the Run for Women fosters a supportive environment where participants can come together to champion mental wellness and raise vital funds for local services.

Course Details
The event features road courses for all distances, starting and finishing at Norwood Community Centre. The terrain is primarily flat and paved, suitable for runners and walkers of all levels. The 1K is designed for children and families, while the 5K and 10K routes typically follow scenic community streets and park paths in Winnipeg. Elevation changes are minimal, making the event accessible and enjoyable for participants of all abilities.
