The Run for Rocky is an annual 5 km run and 3 km walk held during the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Weekend. Established in 2013, the event supports Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs in local schools and funds various 2SLGBTQI+ initiatives in Windsor-Essex County. It honors the legacy of Rocky Campana, promoting inclusivity and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Participants enjoy a scenic route along the Windsor Waterfront to the Ambassador Bridge, passing the Windsor Sculpture Park with views of the Detroit River and skyline. Leashed dogs, baby buggies, and children's wagons are welcome, making it a friendly community event.
