All proceeds, after expenses, support the park's maintenance, repairs, and new projects.
Participants can enjoy a primarily shaded, flat, and fast 2.5 km loop trail with aid stations offering refreshments and snacks. The event promotes environmental responsibility with a cupless policy and offers awards and post-race meals.

Course Details
- Approximately 2.5 km loop with ~11m elevation gain/loss, mostly flat and fast
- Course surface: 70% shaded trail, 60% fine pressure dust gravel, 10% natural trail, 30% groomed grass field
- Walkers keep right; runners pass on left, announcing passes
- Main aid station near start/finish with Gatorade, water, bananas, candy, cookies, etc.
- Vegetable and beef broth available 12 pm-3 pm for 6-hour participants
- Cupless event: participants bring own water bottles or cups
- Staffed first aid and indoor washrooms at start/finish
- Dogs and bicycles not permitted on course
- Participants encouraged to avoid littering; violation may lead to disqualification
