The Honda Waterfront Run Barrie returns on June 7, 2026 in Barrie, Ontario. Produced by MultiSport Canada Productions, the event sits in a lineup of community road races that the organizer has run since the early 2000s. Runners gather at Meridian Place on Simcoe Street for a morning of waterfront racing with options for adults and kids.
The event offers a half marathon, 10K, 5K, a dedicated 5K stroller category and a kids’ run (approximately 400 metres per loop). Races start in seeded waves to keep the course moving — multiple half-marathon waves at 8:00–8:05 a.m., 10K waves beginning around 8:20 a.m., and 5K waves from 8:40–8:50 a.m., with the kids’ run scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Race kit pickup takes place Saturday afternoon at Barrie By The Bay (44 Vespra St.) and again race morning at Meridian Place.
What sets this race apart is the full waterfront experience and family-friendly extras: personalized bibs with timing chips, a casual sport-cut race shirt, a custom finisher’s medal for adult distances and a kids’ medal for the youth race. On-course hydration includes water and an electrolyte drink roughly every 2–3 kilometres; post-race food features pizza, snacks and drinks. The kids’ loop sits right across from the finish line in Heritage Park and allows children to choose one, two or three laps.
Entries are limited by distance (half and 10K capped at 800 each; 5K capped at 1,100; stroller and kids categories also limited). Register early to guarantee a race t-shirt — entries received by May 14 include the event shirt.
