Courons Gatineau takes place on 26 September 2026 in Gatineau and is organized by Gatineau Loppet. Entering its third edition, the race carries the slogan « D’une rivière à l’autre » as a nod to the region’s waterways and welcomes a mix of runners and walkers — from local neighbourhood participants to destination visitors who want a lively, late‑summer road running experience.

The event runs as a single‑day festival with multiple distances: a 15 km and 10 km in the early afternoon, a 5 km later in the afternoon, plus short 1 km and 2 km community runs. The site opens and the on‑site animation begins at 13:00; the 15 km starts at 14:00, the 10 km at 14:20, the 5 km at 16:00, the 1 km at 16:20 and the 2 km at 16:30, so spectators can follow several different starts and finishes across the afternoon.

What sets Courons Gatineau apart is its waterfront setting and festival atmosphere. All races start and finish at the Quai‑des‑Cageux on rue Jacques‑Cartier, with live animation on site from 13:00 and music continuing until 18:00 — the after‑party spills into the bars and restaurants along Jacques‑Cartier. The event also emphasizes practical services: a free bag check opens at 13:00 adjacent to a supervised bike check on the ruelle du Como, volunteers manage parking and course access, and organisers promote eco‑responsible practices throughout the day. Strollers are permitted but asked to start at the back of the field for safety.

Reserve a spot through the online registration platform (Raceroster); on‑site registration and bib pickup are available the day before and the day of the race. Bib pickup is offered Friday (À La Dérive courtyard, 1015 rue Jacques‑Cartier) from 15:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday at the event site from 12:00 to 16:15.
