Conquer the Lake Running Event 2026
Conquer The Lake Running Event returns on Sunday, June 7, 2026 to Lake Country, British Columbia. This one-day community road race stages its start/finish at Beasley Park in the heart of the Woodsdale neighbourhood and showcases running around Wood Lake — a staple spring race for local and regional runners.
The event offers a half‑marathon, a 10K fun run, a 5K fun run and a 1K kids' fun run. Race morning starts with the half‑marathon at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K and 10K at 8:30 a.m., and the kids' 1K mid‑morning at 10:45 a.m. Bib pickup is available the day before at PLAY Kelowna (11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) and on race morning at the Beasley Community Centre from 6:30 a.m. until each race start time.
What sets Conquer The Lake apart is its lake‑front route along the new multi‑modal Pelmewash pathway and the Rail Trail, giving runners sustained lake views and a largely flat, fast profile that encourages personal best attempts. The half‑marathon circles Wood Lake while the shorter distances use out‑and‑back segments on the Rail Trail. The race is part of the Interior Running Association road running series and includes age‑group prizes plus draw prizes distributed at the awards presentation in front of the Beasley Community Centre.
Registration is open in advance — note that the stated race registration deadline is Thursday, June 4 at midnight. Runners planning a family morning can add the 1K kids' run to make it a lakeside outing for all ages.
