The Brita Night Run Toronto lights up the Distillery District on September 25, 2026. Presented by Brita in partnership with Running Room, the Night Run is part of a national series that brings an illuminated 5K and 10K to city streets in the evenings. The Toronto stop gathers runners and onlookers at one of the city’s most photogenic heritage neighbourhoods for a single-night running festival and post-run celebration.
The event offers both a 5K and a 10K distance, with the 5K starting at 7:15 p.m. and the 10K at 7:45 p.m. Runners assemble in four seeded corrals (Red, Yellow, Blue, Green) based on expected finish time to keep the night start flowing smoothly. Suggested arrival time is 6:15 p.m.; race kit pickup is handled at local Running Room stores in the days before the event, and there is no event-day registration.
What sets the Brita Night Run apart is the glow-from-within race kit and community focus. Every entrant receives an official Brita Night Run tee, an Energizer LED headlight that must be worn on the head for safety, reflective running gear, a finisher medal and a beer ticket for participants of legal drinking age. The event also supports Special Olympics — fundraising from the Night Run benefits local Special Olympics programs — and keeps a festive, social vibe in Toronto’s Distillery District after the run.
Registration for the national Night Run window runs September 11–25, 2026; Toronto entries are capped, so prospective participants should register early to secure a spot.
