Boomerang Trail Run 2026
The Boomerang Trail Run takes place on June 13, 2026 in Quinte West, Ontario. Organized by Dirty Soles Trail Run, the one-day event runs on the trail network at Batawa Ski Hill and uses a looped format that keeps runners coming back to the same start/finish area throughout their race window.
Runners tackle a main loop of roughly 7+ kilometres and choose from three time-based options: 2 hours, 4 hours or 6 hours. Competitors complete as many laps as they can within their chosen time period; participants must check in and out at the timing table at the start and finish of each lap so a universal clock can record each circuit. Kit pick-up happens before race day and timing results are posted after the event.
What sets Boomerang apart is its straightforward, back-to-basics trail experience on ski-hill terrain: expect steep pitches, technical singletrack, rocks, roots, mud and narrow sections that reward attentive footing and courteous passing. The race is cup-free — volunteers refill hydration packs and bottles at the aid station — and runners pass that aid once per 7 km loop where water and Tailwind are available roughly halfway through each lap. There is a single road crossing on the route that runners use at their own risk, and space is provided at the start/finish for drop bags and chairs. Portable toilets are on site and there are no changing rooms.
Registration opens through Race Roster; note that swag deadline is May 18 and the event policy states no refunds or deferrals. Check registration details on Race Roster to secure a spot.
