Black Lung Ultra 2025

The Black Lung Ultra Marathon is a challenging 62 km, three-leg ultra marathon set in Nordegg, Alberta. The race honors the town's rich coal mining heritage and takes participants through historic sites, mountain ridges, and the scenic beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Runners will experience varied terrain with significant elevation changes across the three race legs. The event includes well-positioned aid stations offering refreshments and first aid for a safe and supported race.

- Leg 2: For the 29 in the Mine – 23.6 km, 922 m elevation gain/loss, Moderate
- Leg 3: Collieries Closer – 13.7 km, 280 m elevation gain/loss, Easy
