Around the Bay Road Race 2025

The Around the Bay Road Race, first held in 1894, is North America's oldest long-distance road race, predating the Boston Marathon by three years. This iconic event boasts a rich history and attracts elite athletes, including Boston Marathon winners and Olympic gold medalists.

The 2025 edition marks the 131st running of the race, featuring challenging courses through Hamilton's scenic streets, including rolling hills and the famous Valley Inn Hill. It's a celebration of endurance, community, and Canadian running tradition.

• 30K course starts at Simcoe St E, just east of John St N
• Mix of flat sections and rolling hills, including the challenging Valley Inn Hill around 26K
• Finish line near LiUNA Station
• Road surface throughout
• Aid stations equipped with water and portable toilets roughly every 5K
• 30K runners must finish within 4.5 hours with cutoffs at 15K and 20K
