2026 Summit 700 Trail Runs
Summit 700 Trail Runs arrives at Blue Mountain Resort on July 11, 2026, organized by Contour Adventures Inc. This one-day mountain running festival runs out of the South Base Lodge in Blue Mountain, Ontario, and showcases the Niagara Escarpment’s steep single-track. The event pairs technical terrain with sweeping views of Georgian Bay and draws local trail runners and destination athletes alike.
The race weekend includes race kit pick-up on Thursday and Friday with on-site pick-up the morning of the race. Distances cover a full range of challenge: a 1.5K kids race, 5K, 10K, 21K, a point-to-point 50K Ultra and a 50K Ultra Relay. Start times are staggered—50K remote start at 7:00am (buses depart 6:30am), kids at 8:15am, 21K at 9:00am, 10K at 10:00am and 5K at 10:30am—allowing courses to spread out across the Blue Mountain trail network.
What sets Summit 700 apart is the terrain-first focus: every course climbs the iconic Cascade Trail up the escarpment (roughly a 700 ft ascent on race climbs) with rock-hopping, creek crossings and root-strewn forest single-track. The event is cupless—aid stations pour water and sports drink into runners’ own vessels—and offers a post-race outdoor patio, BBQ, music and a vendor village. Summit 700 supports Beaver Valley Outreach; runners who raise $300+ qualify for an entry-fee refund and top fundraisers compete for Salomon shoes.
Registration is open through Race Roster and fees increase on January 15, 2026. Runners should review cut-offs and minimum age rules when choosing their distance.
