The Rotary Huron Shore Run returns to Southampton, Ontario on June 6, 2026. Organized by the Rotary Huron Shore Run team, the event showcases running along the Lake Huron shoreline and brings together local volunteers, charity partners, and destination runners for a single-day community race.
Distances include a 5K run/walk, a 10K, a new 15K coastal distance introduced for 2026, and a Kids Fun Run. All courses use a classic out-and-back format — once runners turn onto Huron Street they settle into a straightforward out-and-back to the turnaround and back to Southampton. The new 15K captures the most scenic, flat stretches of the shoreline and replaces the previous half-marathon for 2026.
What sets Huron Shore Run apart is the combination of fast, coastal roads and a strong community focus. The race donates to local charities — the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has been a primary beneficiary for years and the event lists additional community partners including Bernie’s Boat and Saugeen Shores Special Olympics. Runners can choose a Regular Bib (race shirt and finisher medal included) or opt for a Green Bib to forgo apparel and have $10 donated to a Town of Saugeen Shores sustainability project; Green Bib entries still receive chip timing, on-course support, and post-race refreshments. On-course medical coverage and staffed rest stations add to the supportive race-day setup.
Registration is handled online and entrants may switch between Green Bib and Regular Bib options through their registration dashboard until April 1, 2026.
