The 5 Peaks Trail Running Series visits Crawford Lake on June 6 in Milton, Ontario. Organized by 5 Peaks, this one-day trail event takes place inside Crawford Lake Conservation Area and attracts local weekend racers and families looking for a runnable stretch of Escarpment singletrack.
The weekend schedule packs several start waves to spread runners across the trails. Distances run from a 1 km and a 3 km kids race up to three adult options: Sport (6.1 km), Enduro (12.3 km) and Grit (18.4 km). Onsite packet pick-up opens at 8:00 a.m.; Grit waves roll at 8:30 a.m., kid and hiker waves run through the morning, Enduro starts around 9:30 a.m. and Sport waves begin at 10:00 a.m., with awards slated for noon.
What sets Crawford Lake apart is the combination of accessible family-friendly options and a proper Escarpment trail experience. The event is cup-free — water and electrolyte drink are available at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations on course, so runners planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a bottle or pack. Swag and finisher medals are offered as add-ons at registration and must be picked up at the race, and organizers maintain clear race-day rules (no dogs, headphones, strollers or poles) to protect trail safety.
Runners register through Race Roster and can pre-purchase swag and finisher medals while supplies last. For volunteer info or race questions, 5 Peaks handles event communications by email.
